Way back in high school, using wood stain on elk shed antlers that I found, trying to make them brown again. After getting established with a little side gig restoring antlers, I started exploring options on better reproduction skulls. I wanted to deliver the best end product, and wanted something with much more detail than was available commercially. I did some research, and the first thing we molded was a mule deer skull. That sparked my interest very much, and I moved right into molding antlers.
Over the years, and with much trial and error, I developed methods that worked, and found out what didn’t work, the expensive way. Fast forward to today- I am married to the love of my life, have 3 wonderful children and I am truly living a dream. I do antler work full time with 2 full-time employees, and truly love what I do. I spend my free time in the hills guiding mule deer hunters in my home state of Utah, enjoying time with my family, and trapping furbearers. (hence the name).
