Way back in my high school days, I vividly remember using wood stain on the elk shed antlers that I had found, desperately trying to make them a rich brown once again. After I got established with a little side gig focused on restoring antlers, I began to explore various options for better reproduction skulls. My goal was to deliver the absolute best end product possible, and I desired something with much more intricate detail than what was available in the commercial market at that time. I conducted some thorough research, and the very first thing we molded was a mule deer skull. This project not only sparked my interest immensely but also inspired me to transition directly into molding antlers, which became my passion.
Over the years, through extensive trial and error, I developed effective methods that worked well for my needs, while also discovering the hard way what did not prove successful, often at a high cost. Fast forward to today—I am happily married to the love of my life, have three wonderful children who bring me immense joy, and I am truly living a dream that I once only imagined. I engage in antler work full time, employing two dedicated full-time employees who share my passion, and I genuinely love what I do every day. In my free time, I find great enjoyment in the serene hills of my home state of Utah, where I guide mule deer hunters, cherish moments with my family, and actively trap furbearers, hence the name of my venture.
